We Help Nurses in Hospitals With Operations Improving Outcomes

Nightingale

What We Do

We provide nurses with algorithms and software to improve safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and outcomes. We leverage big data and machine learning to improve a host of operations including staffing, scheduling, nurse-patient matching, hiring, training, promotion and more.

Staffing

Precision Staffing Techniques Save Hundreds of Thousands to Millions Annually by Avoiding Unsafe Understaffing and Inefficient Overstaffing

Algorithms reveal each provider’s caring fingerprint. This identifies individual, unit-level, and hospital-wide caring strength profiles. The relationships between these caring profiles and patients’ outcomes reveals optimal staffing levels each shift given the characteristics of patients on each unit.

Scheduling

Optimal Scheduling Algorithms Reveal the Best Complement of Nurses on Each Shift for the Safest Care and Best Outcomes

Algorithms with insight into each provider’s caring fingerprint identify the optimal complements of staff on every unit every shift. This is achieved through analyses that reveal relationships between complements of care providers’ characteristics and outcomes to inform the safest complements of staff for the best outcomes on every unit every shift.

Nurse-Patient Matching

Care Alignment for Nurse-Patient Matching Leverages Big Data and Evidence-Based Algorithms to Align Nurses With Patient Needs for the Best Outcomes

Data-driven nurse-patient matching techniques acknowledge that each nurse and patient are unique and that analyses of big data on nurses and patients reveal which nurse is best suited to provide the safest care and achieve the best outcomes for every patient on every unit every shift.

Hiring

Intelligent Hiring Informs the Selection of Nurses With Characteristics That Complement Workforces for the Best Outcomes

Intelligent hiring involves leveraging data that reveals the caring strengths of individual nurse, nursing units, and health systems to inform what nurse caring strengths should be selected for an optimal caring environment. This strategic, data-driven hiring creates safer care environments for better outcomes

Training

Targeting Training Ensures that Nurses Receive the Training They Need, in What They Need, When They Need it, for the Best Outcomes Based on Their Caring Fingerprint

Caring analytics dashboards reveal associations between each nurse’s care delivery and outcomes—their caring fingerprint. These analytics reveal who can benefit from training based on outcomes related to specific skills to create safer care environments translating to improved outcomes and decrease costs of care.

Promotion

Objective Promotion Allows For The Acknowledgement of Nurses Based on Data-Driven Care Excellence Which Decreases Nurse Burnout and Turnover Saving Costs

Care-capture analytics provide objective assessments of nurses’ care delivery that informs the promotion of excellent nurses. This serves to create a fair clinical advancement environment and helps to retain all nurses but especially great nurses decreasing institutional costs associated with nurse turnover.

Visualize. Strategize. Act.

Operations managers visualize the staffing needs of an entire health system in real time, leverage analytics to strategize which units will benefit the most from additional nurses, and act by deploying them for optimized outcomes

Data. Operations Improvement. Care Providers.

Managers are provided granular data into unit-level operations and care providers to inform how to improve staffing, scheduling, matching, safety interventions, and more

Safety. Efficiency. Alignment.

Charge nurses visualize patient, nurse, and care dynamics to inform the development of nurse-patient matches with data to efficiently align nursing resources with patient needs and preferences

Caring Fingerprint. Balanced Workloads. Satisfaction.

Nurses receive their caring fingerprint data empowering them with insight to highlight their excellence while also receiving efficient updates on their nurse-patient assignment and other care delivery operations data improving efficiency and satisfaction

Health System Needs. Precision Hiring. Outcomes.

Human resource professionals receive visualizations of data that reveal health system’s human resource needs which can inform prevision hiring to address competency gaps creating safer care environments for better outcomes

Targeted. Evaluative. Improvement.

Educators leverage data associated with each nurses’ caring outcomes to reveal which nurses need training in what competencies to improve outcomes

How We Do It

\

We collect and analyze data revealing each nurses’ caring fingerprint

\

This approach leverages research techniques and machine learning to reveal relationships between each nurse and the outcomes associated with their care

\

These relationships then inform how to improve care coordination, hiring, staffing, patient matching, training, promotion, and more for better outcomes and more cost-effective care.

Why We Do It

Hello, I am thrilled to introduce myself and Nightingale.

While working as a nurse, I realized that healthcare systems struggled because they lacked well-designed, research-driven, innovative technologies. So, I spent over a decade pursing training, conducting research, and winning funding to create innovative technologies that apply advanced research to best serve healthcare providers so they can best serve their patients. This led to the development of Nightingale.

Nightingale consists of passionate and innovative healthcare providers with advanced research training driven to make a difference. We know what it’s like to care for patients and how to translate our research into innovations that transform care delivery for better outcomes. We hope to connect with you after you learn more below about how we can serve you.
